Hey. I’m Thalia. I’m a 49-year old mum of two, founder of Thalia Pellegrini Nutrition and the Knackered Mums Nutritionist. Most of my work focuses on supporting the hormonal health of mums, just like you.
And I have a confession to make.
I love my sons with all my heart, but I never imagined motherhood would mean that holding onto ME would be so, SO hard.
It took time but I’ve learnt how to look after myself amongst all the chaos and clamour of mum life - and learnt the hard way why that matters so much.
Feeling vibrant is possible.
I recovered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in my 20s after six years of battling anxiety and crippling fatigue. I pursued and achieved my dream of becoming a BBC TV presenter and thought my health challenges were behind me. Until fertility struggles in my 30s led to IVF.
When my sons finally arrived, I was so grateful.
But motherhood exploded my well-being. I had to re-discover how to look after myself as well as my boys.
And truthfully?
I realised that finding ways to eat well, to sleep better, to prioritise myself as well as them, none of that ended when they were out of nappies. Or when they started nursery. Or when they went to school… Or now that they’re 12 and 14!
What I’ve learnt is that nourishing myself too is a daily choice.
Being mum never stops.
But I’m not just a mum.
And I deserve to feel my best. Always.
And they deserve the best of me.
Now in my 40s and navigating perimenopause, I understand how powerful it is when I pay attention to my body, too.
Feel balanced. Feel energised. Feel vibrant.
Is it perfect? Of course not. It’s messy and chaotic - but it works. And I feel fantastic.
